A strategy is used to determine settings you like and to backtest your strategy to see its performance.
Then if you like your strategy settings and performance and you want to automate your strategy, you need the indicator to set alerts on TradingView.
With these indicator alerts you can be notified in real time to your next entry and exit to trade.
You can also sync these indicator alerts to place the orders automatically on the exchange you trade on via the exchange API.

Yes, there will be updates as needed as not only do we use these ourselves, but we also receive more feedback from traders and constantly work to improve our strategies and indicators.
Updates will be added automatically to each strategy or indicator when we publish them and you will get an alert and email when there is an update.
Yes, TradingView has free charts and paid charts which just allow you to add more indicators and alerts.

Absolutely! You can test all the TradingView strategies for free for 1-week. To start your trial, simply visit this page and select which strategy or indicator you want to try.
After requesting the free trial, we’ll process it within 24 hours, you will provide us with your TradingView username, and then you’ll get unrestricted access to the strategy of your choice.
Unfortunately, we cannot. The reason we cannot allow free testing of the indicators is because once you have access to the indicator and make an alert, even if you stopped using the indicator you could save the alert.
We could not stay in business like this if we allowed this, and the only way to ensure users don’t request free access to only make alerts then cancel without paying is to only offer paid access to our indicators.
We tried offering free access to the indicators before, however unfortunately users abused the system, so we appreciate your understanding in this policy.
You can try a strategy out for 1 week for free. Once you like the way the strategy works and want to automate it, then buy access to the indicator to automate it.
